Ops Motosikal: Bukit Aman Sweeps Seberang Jaya 'Rempit' Hotspot!

Kantoi geng 'mat rempit'! Bukit Aman, together with the Penang police, made a big sweep at Seberang Jaya, known spot for illegal motorcycle racing, especially on weekends! The operation, dubbed 'Ops Motosikal', took place late Saturday night.

DCP Mohd Rozi Jidin, leading the charge, said over 350 bikers were hauled in. More than 250 summonses were issued for various offences. Imagine the ka-ching!

All those bikes and their riders were brought to Seberang Jaya station. Confirm kena kencing test! Police check for illegal modifications too, make sure those machines follow the rules.

Teenage Troubles

"This operation aims to educate the youngsters who always turn this area into their personal race track," DCP Mohd Rozi Jidin told reporters. Some of them got 5-7 summons already! Memang tak serik!

The shocking part? Kids as young as 15 also ikut join! Pening… This is worrying because it affects safety of other road users.

"The increasing involvement of teenagers in illegal racing is deeply concerning. Some even repeat offenders," he added.

Community Involvement

The PDRM are always on patrol, but the community needs to play their part. Report any illegal racing activities you see!

So far, no indication of 'organizers' or 'syndicates' behind this. Tapi, the police are still investigating, always pantau. If kena tangkap, confirm kena tindakan tegas! - Bernama

What Happens Next?

We hope Ops Motosikal gives these 'mat rempits' a wake-up call. Remember kids, keselamatan first! Don't turn public roads into your personal playground!

Ride safe, everyone!
