Govt adds 10,000 more MyLesen spots for poor students to get free B2 licence
More MyLesen B2 Slots for B40 Riders! Free Licenses Incoming!
Good news, geng! The government is adding another 10,000 spots to the MyLesen B2 program this year. This means even more opportunities for students from B40 families to get their motorcycle licenses for free! Anthony Loke Siew Fook, the Transport Minister, announced this boost due to overwhelming demand.

Originally, Budget 2025 allocated 15,000 free B2 licenses for Form 4 and Form 5 students from lower-income households. But *kaw-kaw* demand meant they almost hit the quota within the first six months!
"In the first six months of this year, we received 15,191 applications and 14,581 students, or 97% from the allocated quota, have already participated in the programme," said Loke.
What's the Damage?
This additional allocation of 10,000 slots will cost the Transport Ministry RM3.5 million. Each participant normally pays RM350 for tests and the license itself. Loke assures the funds will come from the ministry's existing budget through various initiatives.
Negeri Sembilan Gets Extra Love!
Because of the massive interest, 1,000 of these new slots are reserved specifically for *anak-anak* Negeri Sembilan. Padu!
School Support is Crucial
Loke is also urging schools to help identify students riding motorcycles without a valid license. This isn't about *saman-ing* them! It's about getting these B40 students into the MyLesen program and on the right track, legally.
No *Lumba Haram* Allowed!
What if these free license holders get involved in illegal racing or commit traffic offences? Loke supports revoking their licenses!
"We are giving them free licences because our intention is to help them. If they are involved in other undesirable activities on the road, then we will revoke the license."
Remember, *geng*, a license is a responsibility. Ride safe and responsibly out there!
