According to Dungun police chief Supt Maizura Abdul Kadir, this 12-second video is being taken seriously. Why? Because all the speculation could mess with the ongoing investigation and stir up trouble amongst the public. Kita semua nak aman, kan?

What Happened?

So, here's the story. Around 12:30 pm yesterday, a JPJ officer from Bukit Besi was doing his rounds on Jalan Pulau Serai, heading towards Kampung Tok Kah. He stopped a fella who's believed to be a foreign national for riding a motorcycle without a valid license.

Things took a turn when the suspect apparently got aggressive and allegedly tried to harm the officer before making a run for it.

"The officer had to use minimal force to protect himself and ensure the arrest was carried out safely," Supt Maizura said in a statement.

Basically, things got heated, and the officer had to defend himself.

Polis Kata, Jangan Buat Andaian!

The police are asking everyone to stop with the speculation and sharing the video. It could paint a bad picture of our law enforcement agencies, and nobody wants that.

Supt Maizura is also calling on the foreign national involved to head down to any police station and give his side of the story. Transparency is key, guys!

The police are committed to a fair and professional investigation. They're reminding everyone to respect the law and cooperate with the authorities to maintain public order. – BERNAMA
