Three cheers for hijab-wearing Indian bridesmaids
Respect and Riding: Unexpected Hijab Tribute Inspires Malaysians
Hey geng motor! You know we're all about respect on the road, but how about respect in other aspects of life? A recent story making rounds online involves something completely different, and surprisingly heartwarming.
Imagine this: three Indian women, Thivya, Gayathiri, and Sharvini, as bridesmaids at their Malay friendβs wedding in Chemor, Perak. Knowing the solemnisation would be in a surau (small mosque), they not only wore baju kurung but chose to don the hijab out of respect. Fuh, that's Malaysian spirit right there!
The bride, Nur Liyana Zulaikha, was so touched, she shared the story on social media. The response was overwhelmingly positive, celebrating the understanding and unity. It's moments like these that remind us how awesome Malaysia can be.
"They also expressed admiration for Muslim women who wear the hijab, saying it isnβt easy," said Nur Liyana.
Now, whatβs this got to do with bikes? Well, maybe nothing directly. But itβs about respecting cultures, understanding differences, and appreciating the beauty of our diverse nation. Just like how we respect each other on the road regardless of what kapchai or superbikes we're riding.
Stray Cats and a Kind Heart: A Fellow Malaysian's Dedication
On a completely different note, but still showing a great heart, this news report also mentions a woman in Langkawi, Sarina Mat Salleh, who spends RM500 a month feeding over 40 stray cats near Pasar Awam Kuah. Every day, she rides her bike to the market loaded with kibble. Respect!
Sometimes, it's the small acts of kindness that make the biggest difference. Whether it's respecting different cultures or caring for our furry friends, Malaysians truly have a big heart. Keep the rubber side down and stay awesome, geng!
